Master-class «THE SCHOOL OF DIGESTIVE CANCER SURGERY»

Master-class "School of digestive cancer surgery" was held at 16 - 17 April 2013 on the basis of the Clinical Hospital № 122 of L.G. Sokolov FMBA of Russia. From the Japanese side, the conference was attended by 5 surgeons and a large Japanese delegation of support staff. Three surgeons headed by Professor Ichiro Uyama were cancer surgeons, Dr. Kazama - surgeon bariatric (obesity treatment) and Dr. T. Oyama - endoscopist-gastroenterologist. The conference was attended by over 300 participants from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Israel. April 16 together Japanese and Russian surgeons were conducted 4 major operations  - 2 in gastric cancer and 2 - with morbid obesity. April 17 - lecture day. Japanese surgeons were read four lectures on the most topical issues of gastric surgery. In addition, in parallel endoscopic workshop of Dr. Oyama was conducted. In collaboration with the Russian endoscopists over 20 operations were performed, including a number of curative (for lifestyle) endoscopic mucosal resection for early gastric cancer.
