Seminar:

August 5 - 9, 2013, on the basis of endoscopic department of Clinical Hospital № 122 of  L.G. Sokolov seminar was held on the theme: "Endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of early cancer of the esophagus and the stomach." The seminar was held with the participation of the head of the endoscopic department of the National Cancer Center Ichiro Oda (Tokyo, Japan). Ichiro Oda is an international expert in cancer pathology of esophagus and stomach. Under his leadership, annual conferences are held in all major medical centers in the world.

The seminar was held a master class for diagnosis and treatment. Ichiro Oda spent three brilliant surgery to remove early gastric cancer, performed several precision diagnostic procedures. For the first time in St. Petersburg, he conducted a training seminar on animal models, in which, under the guidance of an expert, the participants mastered the complex technical aspects of mucosal resection with dissection in the submucosa. In addition, Ichiro Oda had read lectures on early detection and early diagnosis of cancer of the esophagus and stomach, as well as on its endoscopic treatment.

The seminar was held in the mode of a small group. The seminar was attended by members of endoscopic department of Clinical Hospital № 122 of L.G. Sokolov, doctors of Leningrad Regional Hospital, as well as specialists from Moscow and Irkutsk.
